NJ Predator Krav Maga USA employs instructors who specialize in a wide array of self-defense disciplines. Students of any age and fitness level can learn to master the grappling techniques of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, the knee-and-elbow strikes of muay Thai, or the efficient counterattacks, takedowns, and celebratory pirouettes of Krav Maga. Although each discipline covers its own style of self-defense, every class has the common goal of helping participants improve their strength, stamina, and overall physical fitness.
A US Marine, two-time Iraq veteran, and soon-to-be third-degree black belt, Johnny Guerrero is like a Swiss army knife of self-defense techniques. He earned black belts in Brazilian jujitsu and ninjutsu—the traditional fighting form of Japanese assassins—and has studied styles ranging from judo to Greco Roman wrestling. He draws on his encyclopedic knowledge of self-defense along with his first-hand experience of combat to aid students on their journey to becoming warriors—the very reason he started Guerrero Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The school’s curriculum is designed to teach students to fight with speed, skill, and accuracy. Instructors tailor Brazilian jujitsu and mixed-martial-arts lessons based on level expertise, allowing beginners to learn from experts and experts to challenge themselves to intense competition. Children's classes cater to kids with special needs and focus on antibullying instruction to keep kids safe at school. Each teacher receives training in both child and adult psychology, which aids them in chopping through even the thickest of mental blocks.
Originally founded by a group that includes retired pro boxer Danny Campbell, TITLE Boxing Club offers total-body workouts that blend boxing, kickboxing, and fitness. After donning tape and gloves, students can greet a 100-pound heavy bag with a barrage of kicks, jabs, crosses, hooks, and unkind words. Each of the club's trainers focuses on a different area, such as technicality, core and balance, or moderate- to high-intensity training. Other equipment around the facility includes a boxing ring, speed bags, and double-end bags, as well as free weights and cardiovascular machines.
