A member of the Camera Craftsmen of America, Tony Cilento has captured images of families, weddings, and famous subjects such as Cher and Pope John Paul II. At his studios across the country, he oversees the extensive training of each of his photographers until he's confident they can uphold his standards, which have garnered him the United Nations International Photographic Council award. The highly trained photographers provide impeccable service while photographing birthdays, holidays, weddings, moms-to-be, seniors, and families.
In her photographs, Michelle Black blends photojournalism and emotive portraiture to capture moments in an honest, effective style. In her children’s portraits, she emphasizes natural facial expressions, personality, and candid moments, either at home or a location of the customer’s choice. She also does artistic studies, documenting average routines, and offers sessions with specialty cameras such as Holgas. She also happily documents weddings and honeymoons.
Adam Queen’s photo-snapping prowess can capture a family member’s elusive smile emerging from hibernation or convey emotions through imagery without requiring any of the people in it to wear kabuki masks. Since 2001, Adam has worked as a pro photog in such places as Mexico and Spain, and his studio of white sweep backgrounds and tabletop environments provides Columbus with a convenient locale for senior photos, baby pictures, smooching couples, and family portraits. Otherwise, you can opt to shoot at a nearby location within 7 miles of I-270 (call Adam to confirm), such as your apartment or the faerie market you stumbled upon while sleepwalking. After the shoot, you’ll obtain copyright to 10 images, as well as 20% off your next session and 10% off any prints or additional digital files you'd like to purchase. If you prove to be unusually photogenic, you can even buy the entire roll ($100).
Desired Focus Photography gives amateur shutterbugs the skills to capture images of children, sporting events, or wildlife and nature. Led by Sarah Kobunski, the studio offers an extensive collection of classes that break down the minutia of digital cameras and their sundry parts. Students peek through the lens and learn to manipulate lighting and visual composition. Classes cultivate the skills needed to capture all the treasured moments in daily life, from a baby’s first steps to a toddler’s first deadlift.
Cioh Photography's lead photographer Bree Cooper treks throughout the Columbus area to capture clients' special moments in on-location photo shoots. Her subject matter ranges from modeling and headshots to family portraits and prom photos.
TEN Photography's Tiffany N. Ertle believes the best photos are the most natural ones. During her photo shoots, clients are encouraged to unwind and be themselves as she snaps photos brimming with levity and sincerity alike. Photos from the sessions are available as digital images or glossy prints for an additional charge.
As a designer, Rian Neil draws on not only his study of visual communication and interactive media design, but also on the philosophy of a mentor he has never met: Frank Lloyd Wright. Neil strives to follow the philosophy behind Wright’s Fallingwater home, which fused aesthetics with a respect for the existing landscape. With this in mind, Neil tailors each of his projects to his client’s unique situation or “landscape,” whether he is crafting a website, branding a product, or shooting a family portrait. Neil’s photography endeavors extend beyond family portraiture; however, he can also snap shots of newborns, capture newlyweds’ bonds, and ply photos with special effects to create antique-style Fauxlaroids, rather than the original antique-style photo: a good cave painting.
