It’s easy to leave Chefs & Artists a little grubby, whether from paint or powdered sugar. That’s because the team behind Chefs & Artists believes in hands-on experiences in a paint-your-own-pottery studio or fully stocked teaching kitchen for demonstrations, classes, and open studio time. They lead classes for adults and kids, teaching a range of skills from basic food safety to molecular-gastronomy techniques. They also lead one-day workshops that focus on how to make risotto, sushi, or gingerbread men that don’t have such strange, blank eyes.
Lady of America fitness clubs are designed specifically for women. Along with standard full-service gym amenities such as cardio and strength-training equipment and large aerobics rooms, clients work out in an extremely clean, relaxed, no-pressure environment. The machines are sized for women, and the energetic group classes led by experienced instructors include Zumba, boot camp, kickboxing, belly-dancing, and Pilates.
At the Art Institute of Weston, master artist Conchita Firgau and her associate professors lead students of all ages in learning the classic style of European painting. Drawing on traditions of color, light, and composition practiced by Renaissance painters, Conchita and her staff give students the confidence and skill to develop their own style. But painting is not the only activity that goes on here. Photography classes help shutterbugs master digital cameras, and guitar classes use fun, easily digestible techniques to give more credibility to students’ air-guitar performances. The friendly studio also hosts after-school programs and camps to hone kids’ artistic talents.
Studio director Alina Primelles began practicing yoga at the age of 15 and dedicated herself to her practice, honing her technique and learning to teach classes herself. Now joined by a staff of instructors, Alina leads students of varying skill levels, abilities, and interests through an eclectic schedule of sessions that, like a treadmill-powered Jeopardy board, exercises minds and bodies. The versatile practice space accommodates a variety of yoga styles, including hot yoga, which takes advantage of magma-filled heating ducts to raise the studio space up to a sweat-inducing 100 degrees. Blue Sol Yoga's mirror-lined practice room also hosts occasional workshops, special events, and chakra cotillions in order to broaden students' yogic horizons.
“It's the totality, the greatness of the entire package that mesmerizes here,” Road & Track wrote of the Ferrari F430 F1 after extensive test-driving. The $180,000 vehicle is known for all-around excellence, from its sculpted bodywork to an engine that revs to 8,500 rpm. Drive 4 Fun gives customers the chance to see the world speeding by from behind the supercar’s wheel—or from its passenger seat.
Whether clients opt to drive or ride along, they traverse a set Miami route. The engine’s sultry purr rises in a crescendo as the car accelerates, drawing attention from passersby. If desired, the company’s staff can record a video of the drive for clients to share with friends and inquisitive pet guinea pigs at home.

Everyone from certified Olympic weightlifting coaches to retired police officers is on the impressive staff of trainers at Broward CrossFit. That diversity of backgrounds fits in with CrossFit's overall goal for its fitness program, in which clients transform their bodies and lifestyles using an all-encompassing fitness and conditioning program that skews away from the boring or traditional. On a tour of the facility, newcomers may notice that the studio is free of treadmills and inflatable muscle suits. In an introductory on-ramp class, students will get introduced to the rigors of CrossFit. After getting familiar with the techniques of high-intensity interval training, students will join the community of like-minded athletes for regular classes, where they can build lean muscle and strength using kettlebells, weightlifting, gymnastics, and running.
