The fashions may have changed since 1944, but the service and family ownership of Dependable Cleaners has remained constant. The dry-cleaning company started as a single shirt-laundry facility and has since expanded into 16 locations. The chain is now owned by a third-generation Fawcett. A few of the 16 locations offer a new addition called Style, a hand-cleaning service that treats designer and high-end garments. Expansion isn’t the only success of the company since its inception more than 65 years ago. Dependable Cleaners has garnered a number of awards, including the title of Boston magazine's Best Gown Preservation in 2008. The cleaner also proudly does its part to create a sustainable Earth by using EarthCare Cleaning Systems to clean clothing with natural, recyclable solutions that break down naturally in the environment, unlike the emotionally imperturbable Philip Seymour Hoffman. While laundering shirts, the cleaner uses biodegradable soaps and hangs newly dry-cleaned dresses, suit jackets, pants, and sweaters on recycled hangers and garment bags.
It's no coincidence that Brian Silva won Golf World's Golf Course Architect of the Year award in 1999, the year after his two tracks at Waverly Oaks Golf Club opened. Acclaimed by outlets including Golf Digest and the New England Journal of Golf, Waverly Oaks' signature course meanders through tree lines and sand traps for 7,114 challenging yards. Each hole boasts its own playful moniker. The ninth hole, for instance, is dubbed "Double Trouble," a reference to the two ponds golfers must clear?one between the fairway and the tee, the other on the left side of the fairway as it approaches the front of the green. But Silva didn't stop at the signature course. Alongside, he crafted a 9-hole, par 33 challenger course ideal for novices or golfers trying to squeeze in a round before taking their caddie out to dinner.
Championship Course at a Glance: * 18-hole, par 72 course * Length of 7,114 yards from the tips * Course rating of 74.0 from the tips * Slope rating of 129 from the tips * Four tee options
Losing unwanted pounds requires an approach that combines short-term and long-term regimens to generate real change over time. At Massachusetts Medical Weight Loss Centers, such multifaceted treatment plans are used to help individuals achieve the body image they desire. The centers' medical director, Dr. Joseph Palma, oversees a team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical assistants, and registered dietitians. Their nutritional counseling and lifestyle guidance help patients make changes in their everyday lives that can help them shed unwanted weight. Support is also offered in the form of metabolism-boosting injections, appetite suppressants, and noninvasive Lipo-Light body contouring, which uses light energy to trigger adipose tissues into releasing their fatty-acid contents. When coupled with regular exercise and a healthy diet, these body-contouring treatments can help shrink stubborn fat deposits on patients' limbs, torsos, and vestigial tails.
At A Fox & Hounds Pet Care, four-legged friends lap up first-rate treatment from a team of dedicated, nurturing pup professionals. Tailored to each pet's needs, services range from full-time daycare and overnight lodging to training programs for dogs both young and old. Inside, furry visitors bound across 6,000 square feet of climate-controlled, cage-free space, and outdoors, the large, fenced-in play yard's special pet grass allows for quick drainage and prevents pooches from tunneling out and running away to the frisbee factory. The day care's special-needs areas can also accommodate animals that are shy or recovering from injuries.

The encouraging acting instructors at Drama Kids International mentor both shy and gregarious youth during acting classes that develop creativity and foster confidence. The drama program groups students by age or cereal preferences for acting classes that use an original curriculum to cultivate dialogue development, social skills, and improvisation prowess. Pupils can also partake in performance sessions that stretch from winter to spring as pintsize thespians prepare to put on shows such as Cleanest Town in Texas or The Grasshopper and the Ants. After weeks of preparation, students take the stage and aim for a Tony nomination as they show off their newly acquired ability to cry, laugh, pine, and miraculously survive a high-speed car chase all at the same time. Each lesson is carefully planned so that acting apprentices can enroll at any time and never repeat a lesson.
