Strap in for speed and follow the fast-tracked wisdom of NASCAR-licensed drivers at Stock Car Driving Experience. Ultimate Ride Package guests will take a seat beside a veteran stockcar speed demon and encircle the full track at Old Dominion Speedway for five heart-pounding laps, in addition to laps for warm up, cool down, and victory. Stock cars are capable of reaching speeds in excess of 200 mph, and because you'll be on a speedway track, your dashboard speedometer is sure to get plenty of exercise. If you opt for the Extreme Driving Experience, you'll fly through the same shotgun ride of the Ultimate Ride, and, to fulfill your insatiable throttling thirst, you'll take the driver's seat for a full 15 laps of automotive bliss. All instruction is done onsite, so guests don't have to worry about buying their own stock car or mail-order driver in advance.
Jac’s Grill serves up a dinner menu packed with gourmet seafood, steak, salads, and pasta. Field greens take on a new persona when disguised in spiced walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, roasted-black-peppered apples, a blond wig, and a sweet maple vinaigrette ($5–$7). Parmesan fried oysters served over cheese grits ($10) leave diners eager to move onto main-meal events, such as pecan-crusted grouper, which is baked, dressed in a red-pepper coulis, and served with parmesan risotto and asparagus ($24). Jac’s à la carte meat market gives diners a choice of various cuts of steak, chicken, or pork chops, all served with sides, inventive sauces, and an affirmation of free will. A 12-ounce New York strip steak may pair with a roasted sweet potato, wilted spinach, and a smoked-gouda cream sauce ($24), and a loaded potato cake, broccolini, and Jac’s own barbeque sauce can accompany tender chicken to the plate ($13).
Once upon a time, Chef Gamer Rawat worked in the kitchen of Bukhara, a famed New Delhi restaurant frequented by presidents and heads of state. He then packed his bags and crossed the ocean to take up the reins at Tandoori Nights, bringing along all of his culinary experiences and Indian cooking techniques. Under Rawat's watch, tender lamb, bone-in goat, and other meats roast in the restaurant's traditional clay tandoor oven alongside naan stuffed with savory ingredients. However, Rawat doesn't stop at cooking; he also artfully plates each dish, arranging its elements into an appetizing, modern design.
Owner Michael Ward and executive flavorsmith Art Ward craft a menu brimming with outside-the-box innovations on classic American fare. Bacon-infused potato skins ($4.89) make for savory starters or sombrero tassels, priming tongues for the Maryland crab melt's flavor volley of crab cake, tomato, crabby-patty sauce, and grilled texas toast ($7.69). Flame-kissed patties leap atop buns to create the kitchen's meaty colonnade of burgers ($4.19+), and traditional sliced rib eye, grilled peppers, and mushrooms nestle within the wheaty confines of a mayo-lacquered philly cheesesteak wrap ($7.49).
