The Athens School of Music's skilled instructors impart students of all ages and skill levels with note-hitting know-how. The one-on-one lessons–overseen by experienced musicians trained in a variety of styles–enhance pupils' relationships with an array of instruments, including guitar, piano, and electric kazoo. Seven studios enable artists to pluck in tranquil solitude, a piano room summons strummers, and a sound-reinforced drum room with two kits creates a perfect percussion palace and an ideal place to practice eating with drumsticks. While waiting for lessons to begin, students can relax, collaborate, or silently air jam in the school's comfortable, couch-adorned lobby.
With more than 100,000 lessons taught, our award winning teaching studio continues to be the first choice in music lessons among students of all ages.
Begginers - advanced are welcome. We offer lessons in guitar, piano, violin, drums, singing, saxophone, flute, clarinet, acting/drama, music therapy, and much more.
Informed by an ever-growing body of developmental research, classes at The Music Class introduce tots to tunes and concepts that boost creativity and listening skills. In Music Pups (a $72 value) courses, children under 4 years of age gleefully sing, dance, and bang away on rudimentary instruments such as the drums or theremin. Four and 5-year-olds learn concepts of tone and rhythm in the Music Cats course (a $77 value), which lets kids experiment with keyboards before defending their dissertations on the narrative redundancies of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm." Each 45-minute course meets four times in one month-long segment, and includes CDs for parents to play at home to follow up on in-class tutelage. This Groupon may also be used toward The Music Class' ten-week music courses.
