Windsor Squash & Fitness Club adds oomph to squash-court pursuits with a host of group fitness classes held in a squeaky-clean, family-friendly facility. Clients can slay fitness goals with a one-three punch of cardio, strength training, and stretching in classes overseen by the club's professional staff. Good Morning Cycle and Spinergy sessions pair patrons with stationary cycles as they tackle hill climbs, interval training, and speed races against virtual paperboys, and each bike's easy modifiability allows riders of all stripes to adjust their own intensity and resistance levels throughout the workout. For a cardio and bulk-building blend, Xtreme Circuit clocks exercisers as they shift between strength- and cardio-based stations over a one-hour class. Kettlebell sessions bolster the body while fostering flexibility as students swing handled weights and volunteer pumpkins looking to make some extra cash. Windsor Squash & Fitness Club rounds out its full-body carte with a handful of relaxing, stretch-centric courses including Pilates, power yoga, and yoga for everybody, whose posework changes at a slower pace to accommodate all levels of mat-bound expertise.
Since 1948, Borrelli Cellars has guided connoisseurs through the process of vinting and bottling their own pours at its winery, using grape juice gathered from the world's top growing regions. Instructor, winemaker, and owner Frank Borrelli educates visitors on grape varieties, yeasts, and sanitary practices while divulging tips on how to consistently craft top-notch batches of vino or win foosball tournaments. While scouring the premises, students can pore over a collection of books, wine presses, and kits to put skills learned in the workshop to the test.
Dedicated to the art of oenophilic pursuits, the winemasters of Borrelli Wines help guests craft their own wine, providing dozens of winemaking supplies, tools, and services. Their well-stocked store shelves all the necessary supplies to handcraft your own wine, with wine juices from Vin Bon and kits from Cellar Classic, Sorriso, and Orchard Breezin for fermenting batches ranging from Cabernet Sauvignon to Chardonnay. Those without the ideal environment for fermenting wine, such as a vacant secret dungeon, can opt to ferment grape juices within Borrelli Wines’ temperate cellar and leave all the making to the professionals by simply starting the batch, signing a contract, and returning to bottle the wine once complete.
For more than 30 years, the Canadian College of Health Science & Technology has helped its students forge new career paths into the fields of health care and information technology. Every instructor is currently employed in his or her area of expertise, allowing students to glean real-world insights that are unattainable from textbooks who have never even treated a patient. Each program also incorporates hands-on experience; the Registered Massage Therapy program, for example, lets students knead the muscles of real clients, and the Physiotherapy Assistant program includes a 200-hour clinical placement. Some of the college's other standout programs include an accelerated PC-repair-technician course and an accounting and payroll administrator program.
Vixen Fitness’s certified instructor Danielle Green was fed up with the lack of exercise programs designed to empower women. After a year of throwing private dance parties in her clients’ homes, Danielle realized that many women pursue fitness to feel desirable, which involves not only simple aesthetics, but also self-confidence. Her insights panned out. Today, her all-female fitness operation includes two studios where she and her team of sultry instructors help women unleash their inner Aphrodites. In a comfortable setting, women swivel into leaner bodies during pole-dancing and sensual-dance classes. When they’re not teaching lap dance and aerobic strip-tease classes, teachers help students carve out fitter frames with Zumba and yogalates—a hybrid of yoga and Pilates—and host the original bachelorette and girl’s night out parties that inspired the studio's beginning.
