The Kindness Connection works with local charities to define service projects that meet their needs. We then design the projects, procure the required materials, and organize schools, groups and/or individuals to complete the projects.
Renovated in 2006, the nearly century-old Wilmette Theatre entertains theatergoers with a rotating slate of current and classic offerings, including Hollywood blockbusters and niche art films. Cylindrical light from a whirring projector flickers across two auditoriums, where movie-going duos can snack on buttery tubs of popcorn while sipping a soda and whispering spoilers into the facility’s pristine Soundfold curtain. The Wilmette underwent a key renovation in 2006, fortifying the century-old venue’s commitment to quality art with fresh coats of paint, an overhauled concessions center, and screenings of feature-length still lifes.
The Music Theatre Company's production of Merrily We Roll Along, a Stephen Sondheim composition based on the 1934 Kaufman and Hart play, weaves a show biz success story in reverse. The musical begins with Franklin Shepard’s wild fame as a film producer before unraveling nearly 20 years of his past to uncover countless love affairs, missed opportunities, and humble dreams.
Sudsy drafts gush from foam-flecked taps at The Chubby Bullfrog, a neighborhood watering hole aglow with the flicker of televised Chicago sporting events. Gooey strings of cheese swing elastically, like a jazz clarinetist during his weekly yoga class, from thick slices of pizza studded with sausage or pepperoni. Boisterous cheers echo off the contours of golden pitchers filled with Miller Light, Blue Moon, or seasonal selections from Sam Adams, such as Winter Lager, Summer Ale, and White After Labor Day Stout.
Whisper Creek’s visionary architects, Greg Nash and Billy Casper, and Orchard Valley’s architect, Ken Kavanaugh, present two championship-style courses of verdant, undulating terrain, flecked with challenging features. Golfers traverse Whisper Creek's 240 acres of protected wildlife sanctuary in GPS-enabled golf carts that provide yardage measurements, record scores, and eliminate the need to ask tiger-head club covers for directions. During an 18-hole round (up to a $68 value with cart), clubs send dimpled orbs hurtling past imported white-sand bunkers, pristine waters, and more than 5,000 character hardwoods. Over on Orchard Valley’s 6,800-yard, par 72 grounds, manicured practice facilities conduct dress rehearsals for the course’s 18 holes (up to a $76 value with cart), which span sand traps and wetlands, including the expansive water hazard on the aptly named "All or Nothing at All" second hole.
At Mosaic Tutor, founder Veronica Vyazovsky strives to help families in need through tutoring. Master’s-level certified teachers focus on incorporating students' emotions as a part of the learning process. Through involving emotions in assessments, tutors aim to increase confidence and create successful learners, while creating a platform for engaging students and providing interventions. Veronica and her staff understand that culture is a key factor in learning, and that's why they try to communicate with clients in their native language as opposed to nongeographic forms of communication like semaphore.

Absorbent little minds soak up Spanish, Mandarin, French, German, or Arabic with the help of their FunImmersion approach, learning naturally through games, songs, activities and art projects to help kids finally understand their foreign-exchange imaginary friends.
