Boasting one of the largest venues in the Triad, and blessed by the muses since 1934, Twin City Stage gives the Winston-Salem community a place to both experience live theater and perform in it. Mitch Albom’s comedy, Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, follows a couple of cockamamie duck hunters who believe they’ve shot an angel and are relentlessly pursued by a cynical tabloid journalist and his reluctant photographer—but everything changes when they stumble upon a pair of wings and a tiara. Like most Thanksgiving dinners, the production wittily intertwines a love story, garish media, cultural stereotypes, and a character that is half alligator and half man.

The Piedmont Chamber Singers' volunteer vocalists enrapture audiences with melodious performances of timeless choral melodies. Concertgoers revel in the beguiling acoustics of the Ardmore Baptist Church as the ensemble opens with a sample of musical appetizers by French composers Saint-Saëns and Ravel. Singers fill the air with the ethereal, contemplative Requiem by Gabriel Fauré, which signals the conclusion to the current choral season and the return of bike cops' seersucker uniforms. As part of their encouragement of choral-music education in public schools, PCS will share the spotlight with Bella Voce, Reagan High School’s premiere choral ensemble.

The serene yogarie offers more than 15 different yoga classes, accommodating beginners, rusty practitioners returning after exhaustive time-travel adventures, and master yogis in town on layovers. You can mix and match from among the studio’s many options to find the perfect posture for you, or follow one class through six sessions. Beginners may opt for the Newbie Yogi You-Be course to develop their strength and flexibility before moving on to one of the more demanding courses, such as the noontime WiserEnergizer, which revives work-slumped students, or the fast-paced Kundalini Rising course, which revitalizes the body’s organs for better health and super powers.
