The chiropractic doctors of Premier Chiropractic & Pilates blend chiropractic services, Pilates, and HydroMassage to help their patients on the way to optimal health health. During initial visits, patrons can expect an exhaustive consultation, examination, and suite of x-rays, allowing the doctors to best chart a course of treatment. Afterwards, they can partake in the appropriate service, be it corrective exercises, nutritional counseling, or physiotherapy.
Gerner Chiropractic’s owner and namesake, Dr. Lynn Gerner, helms a team of three chiropractic doctors who take care to tailor their treatment plans to individual clients. It helps that each of the doctors brings a unique perspective to the practice. For example, Dr. Gerner's background in personal training and her current work as a birth coach account for her holistic approach and extensive anatomical knowledge. Dr. Bryon Cloyd, on the other hand, brings a worldly perspective, which he gained while volunteering his services to patients in Nicaragua and performing complimentary sports physicals for local students. Dr. Liliana Ulloa-Butler—a graduate of UC-Davis—specializes in treating new moms, infants, and children. She speaks fluent Spanish, which serves her well when adjusting the misaligned spines of Spanish-language textbooks.
Regardless of which doctor they visit, patients begin treatment with a consultation and a discussion about the nervous system's influence on physical and emotional health. Together, doctor and patient decide on a course of care that may include massage, spinal adjustments, craniosacral therapy, or passive-motion therapy.
At Lifeline Acupuncture & Herbs Clinic, licensed acupuncturist Hong Joon Lee works to alleviate acute and chronic pain. Since 1977, Dr. Donald Wilson has deftly assuaged discomfort by drawing on an array of adjustment approaches as he eases maladies ranging from allergies to back pain. During 60-minute initial consultations, patients discuss their health history with Dr. Wilson, who performs an examination, takes x-rays if necessary, and crafts a personalized treatment plan to eradicate pain stemming from headaches, whiplash, or catchy pop songs. Subsequent appointments—which typically last 25 minutes—incorporate techniques such as the manual diversified technique, trigger-point therapy, and Activator Methods.

Massage therapist Sherri Battle began her education stateside, but her pursuit of authentic Thai-massage techniques eventually led her to the modality’s birthplace—either Thailand or the maternity ward. While abroad, Sherri studied under two bodywork masters, one specialiazing in a type of deep-tissue work known as “nerve touch,” and the other well-versed in northern Thai methods. Sherri eventually loaded her new knowledge into her suitcase, perhaps with miniature shampoo and soap, and returned home to found Sher-Thai Massage. The signature treatment Sherri now uses was pioneered in the third or second century BC by a physician and rumored confidant of Buddha. Based on a matrix of sen lines, which conduct energy throughout the body, the technique releases built-up energy that can cause pain and disease with a blend of acupressure, gentle stretching, and assisted yoga maneuvers. She sometimes augments her treatments with steamed herb packs or a reflexology massage, which only targets the reflex points that connect to the entire body.
