  • Kravitz Delicatessen
Kravitz Delicatessen founder Rose Kravitz had a big heart?one that was about the size of a half-pound corned beef sandwich. Or at least that's the claim of The Rose ?K? sandwich, one of the deli's signature Wall of Honor menu items. In addition to her, the menu pays tribute to other locals and organizations throughout the Valley, such as Tom and Jeff?winners of a crazy combo competition?whose sandwich includes melted Ohio Swiss cheese over corned beef and a bagel. Rose founded Kravitz Delicatessen in 1939 and moved the deli to its current Belmont Avenue location in 1970. Her son Jack now runs things, making sure that the deli carries on its traditions of corned beef and fresh-made bagels. Over the years, the menu has also expanded to include Jewish, Mediterranean, and Vegetarian dishes. These days, Jack and his team have expanded to a second location inside the Poland Library, which gives Kravitz Delicatessen its rightful place amid the history books.

  • Pro Window Maintenance
The technicians at Pro Window Maintenance can clean windows, gutters, or siding safely from the ground. When cleaning a home's gutters, uniformed professionals don't scale ladders and then focus half of their attention on not falling off. Instead, they use extendable tools that reaches up and over gutters, allowing them to safely vacuum them from the ground. This sensible approach reflects the company's philosophy towards all manner of home-cleaning services. During their signature window-washing services, the staffers clean both sides of glass using an advanced pure water system, courteously slipping on booties when entering homes so as not to track in mud or ghosts from outside. When faced with algae-covered siding, they know that blasting if off with pressurized water leaves it alive. That's why they soft-wash home exteriors, killing algae and mold so so they won't grow back.

  • Phantom Fireworks
Phantom Fireworks first burst onto the scene more than three decades ago. Today, the company lights up backyards of America from coast-to-coast with more than 1,200 permanent and temporary locations. Much like its products, Phantom?s employees frequently take to the skies. They travel around the globe in search of the industry's latest ground and aerial displays before returning home with rockets, missiles, fountains, and aerial repeaters. From there, an extensive in-house testing program takes over, checking each item's safety before it?s sold to the public. That testing program is just one of Phantom?s pillars of safety. The company also holds memberships with multiple pyrotechnics organizations, and it offers customers additional information about fireworks laws and history through its Fireworks University.

Speaking of tanning, each of Doreen's UV-free spray tans is a work of art applied by a real-life skilled technician, not an orangey glow obtained by an automated booth or an accidental fall into a vat of molten butterscotch. As a result, customers can expect a natural, glowing bronze customized to their specific skin type and tone.

  • Arms Family Museum of Local History
Though Wilford and Olive Arms haven't lived in their house for decades, the sprawling Arts and Crafts-style stone building still holds their story. Today, the original period rooms house the Arms Family Museum of Local History, where permanent and temporary exhibits interpret different facets of the estate's?and the surrounding area's? history. One explores the home's conception and construction with original photographs, sketches, and Lego models, while another unveils the history of radio-broadcasting in Mahoning Valley. The Valley Experience exhibit, meanwhile, showcases the Mahoning River region's cultural past, focusing on the daily lives of those who lived there, from the first Native Americans to European immigrants to African-American freemen.
