Along with registration, participants receive an event t-shirt. Racers meet at Los Angeles Brewing Company starting at 11 a.m. All registrants are encouraged to arrive no later than 11:30 a.m. to attend a pre-race meeting at 11:45 a.m. The race begins at noon.

Scavenger Dash

The Scavenger Dash turns exploring one's city into a fun, fast-paced race scattered with clues, obstacle courses, and riddles. Racers 12 and older in teams of 2–10 scour the urban jungle in search of 12 clues, which can include challenges, riddles, or orders that need be completed before crossing the finish line. Some send racers hunting for a snapshot in front of a landmark, whereas others challenge them to complete some special feat, such as conquering an obstacle course on stilts. Unlike traditional marathons or races, the Scavenger Dash contains no roped off pathways—racers must make their way through the city streets completely on their own, though they can carry smartphone devices to look up trivia information or call their butcher to request a celebratory round of hotdogs. Upon crossing the finish line, racers receive a Scavenger Dash t-shirt.
