Golf is considered a gentleman's game because of its emphasis on proper etiquette, color-coordinated outfits, and the removal of all brass knuckles and inflatable billy clubs before competition. Throw down the dueling golf gloves with today's Groupon: for $48, you get 18 holes of golf for two and cart rental (up to a $105.99 value, including tax) at King's Creek Golf Club in Spring Hill.
Designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, the course at King's Creek weaves three natural creeks through beveled bunkers and bentgrass greens. Reflecting the natural stone walls along several of the greens' banks, a wall of trees encloses the course, whose serene landscape and native wildlife have earned it a designation as an Audubon sanctuary. The front and back nines, each a par 35, contain balanced series of holes, with the total play area containing five sets of tees and measuring up to 6,807 yards. Golfers are required to wear collared shirts throughout the facility and conserve their playing time to four hours or less. However, each golf cart is equipped with a GPS unit to keep track of time, provide accurate yardages at each hole, and guide the tiny astronauts piloting from inside each ball to a safe splashdown landing in the pond.
King's Creek Golf Club's rates fluctuate throughout the week.

The Groupon Guide to: Choosing Produce
There's no worse feeling than when you buy what you assume is perfectly ripe produce only to discover it's too hard or have it dissolve into a pile of ashes in your grocery bag. Here are some tips for filling your basket with ready-to-eat fruits and vegetables:
- Broccoli: Drag the vegetable florets-side-up across your arm. Each should be firm enough to rid your forearm of unwanted hair.
- Cherry: You'll have to tear through the tasteless, inedible outer layer to test the cherry's high-protein, peanut-like core. Once you expose the cherry nut, swallow it and rate the pain you feel as it gradually moves down your throat. If it's less than a seven, it's too ripe.
- Apple: Smell an apple. Does it smell apple?
- Cantaloupe: Knock on it to determine if it's hollow. If it is, there's a gerbil living inside subsisting on the fruit's ripe core. Hurry up! You'll have to eat quickly to beat the gerbil.
- Pumpkin: This orange, round gourd shouldn't deflate easily, so repeatedly stab it with something sharp, such as a hunting knife or the tools doctors use to open their mail.
