1. How much does it cost to join?
Absolutely nothing! All you need to do is sign up for a free Commission Junction account, you will not be asked to provide any credit card information. Additionally, you can discontinue your relationship with us at any time.
2. How much can I make?
You earn commission for every transaction you refer to us, plus any transaction that occurs within 30 days of your initial referral. So let's say you saw a Groupon that you thought your mom would like. If your mom clicks through your link and buys the Groupon, you earn commission! If your mom clicks through your link and decides not to buy the Groupon, but returns to Groupon later in the week and buys something different, you will still earn commission on the sale. If your mom goes nutso and buys a Groupon every day, you earn commission on every purchase she makes within 30 days of your initial referral. Our base rate is 2% on all sales, unless it's a new user, in which case we pay 10%. However, commission is tiered based on performance, so you can earn up to 15% on all sales. We also run sales contests and promotions, so there are plenty of opportunities to earn above and beyond your base rate!
3. When will I be paid?
Your commission is tracked and paid out by Commission Junction. Once your commission account with Commission Junction exceeds $50 USD, you will receive payment from them if you are signed up for direct deposit. If you are set up to receive a paper check from Commission Junction, the account minimum is $100 USD. For more information on payment practices, please login to your Commission Junction account and click "Help," located toward the upper right of the interface.
4. How can I see what I earned?
Easy! Log into your Commission Junction account, you'll be able to find out how many clicks you sent, how many transactions you drove, and how much you've earned.
5. How do I get started?
If you are already a member of the Commission Junction network, login to your account here and apply to the Groupon program. If you are not, click here to join!
6. Do I need to know how to code?
You must have a basic understanding of HTML. As an affiliate, you will need to know how to copy and paste HTML code that we provide you and place it accurately within the code of a Web page or within an email.
7. How can I show Groupon deals on my site?
There are lots of different ways you can feature Groupon on your site. Login to your account on Commission Junction to access a wide variety of text links and banners. Additionally, you can create a custom deal widget, which enables you to display the Groupon deal most relevant to your audience. You can select color, size and more. Start personalizing your custom affiliate widget now! If you are a developer, you are also encouraged to check out our API.
8. What is my "CJPID" or "PID"?
If you are one of our affiliates, you have undoubtedly seen us use "CJPID," "PID," or "Publisher ID Code" in our communications. This means that in order for the code to work, you need to replace "CJPID" or "PID" with your own Commission Junction PID. To locate this value:
- Login to Commission Junction
- Click "Account," then the "Web Site Settings" sub-tab
- If needed, select your Web Site from the drop-down menu
- Your Commission Junction PID is listed in the Web Site Information box
9. How do I create a custom link to a deal on Groupon?
We have created a special link in Commission Junction so that you can link to any page on the Groupon site. To do this:
- Login to Commission Junction
- Click the "Get Links" tab. Search for Groupon, and then click "View Links" located under the Groupon logo.
- In the search box, type in the following number: 10851896. Click "Find."
- You will see one result. On the far right, click "Get HTML." You will see a new window pop up.
- Replace the "Destination URL" with the URL of whatever page you want to link to.
- Click "Update Link Code."
10. Where do I find a list of national deals?
Visit our online forum! We post our national deals around 6a central every morning. You're going to need to know your Commission Junction PID.
11. I am a developer using the API, how do I convert landing pages to trackable URLs?
Simply pre-pend every API URL with the following:
http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-CJPID-10804307?url=API_URL. Replace "CJPID" with your own Commission Junction PID, and replace "API_URL" with the URL returned by the API. Specific details available in our API documentation.
12. How long does it take for purchases to show up in my account?
Reporting in Commission Junction typically runs on a three to four hour delay. To learn more, click here and enter your Commission Junction login information.
