“It’s Me, Big Brad”
Although they share some eco-values, the Big Green Earth Store is not affiliated with the similarly named children’s cable program Brad on the Big Green Earth, a daily morning show featuring Brad (ably portrayed by former modern dancer Glinette Brouche), a regular recycling plant employee transformed into a 750-foot tall goliath after exposure to radioactive litter. A sort of modern-day Paul Bunyon, Big Brad traverses the United States teaching environmental responsibility and eluding the Unconventional Threats Division of the U.S. Military. Although well meaning, most episodes end with Brad unintentionally destroying the city he’s visiting, followed by a moral conveyed through song. Here’s the closing song from his visit to New York City:
