As a world-class leader, King Richard II preferred his meals hot, heavy, and served upon the abs of his crab-walking jester. Work on your table manners with today's Groupon: for $35, you get five classes (up to $70 value) at Two Rivers Yoga Institute of New Braunfels.
At Two Rivers Yoga, owner Sara Dasso and her team of friendly and experienced instructors lead several daily classes designed for toning and strengthening. The studio specializes in Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles of yoga, which utilize a combination of standing and seated postures, balancing moves, and inversions. The Hatha Basics yoga class is ideal for beginners and features a focus on proper breathing and alignment. Students can also show a little midsection during one of the studio's many belly dance classes, which are far more beneficial than old-hat-esophagus-dancing classes.
Before or after class, feel free to stop by Funky Lotus—the studio's on-site boutique—to expand your yoga stash with mats, T-shirts, and other yoga accessories made from organic, recycled, and sustainable materials.
Reviews
Though there are few reviews for Two Rivers Yoga Institute of New Braunfels, the studio has appeared in the New Braunfels Herald Zeitung and Johns Hopkins Magazine:
- Sara Dasso, owner of Two Rivers Yoga, promised she would never turn anyone away. So when classes started overflowing her small Seguin Avenue storefront, Dasso didn’t hesitate to pick up stakes. On Nov. 1, she moved to a large, new building in the Gruene Lake Village shopping complex. And so far, the yoga business is booming. – Charles Agar, New Braunfels Herald Zeitung
Groupon Says
The Groupon Guide to: Vitamins
It's easy to get the minerals your body needs by licking a medley of stones, but finding the vitamins you need to stay in shape is more difficult. Here's a look at the most important vitamins for your body:
Vitamin A: Unlike most vitamins, this alphabetic chemical compound cannot be synthesized by the human body. Instead, you can get your daily dosage by eating foods that begin with the letter A, such as apples and apes. Vitamin A was first popularized by the Fonz, the hip character from the 1950s sitcom Happy Days, whose catchphrase, "Aaaaaayyyyy," reminded people to eat their apes.
Vitamin L: Used by the body to prevent bones from turning inside out, vitamin L is more commonly known as love. This essential chemical can be found in the smile of a child, the warmth of a lover's embrace, or in the mucus membranes of a toucan. Contrary to the Rolling Stones' advice, in addition to love, you also need food, air, and a gallon of cotton in your lungs at all times.
Vitamin 4: This inessential digestible can by synthesized from hydrangea bark and should be taken intravitreally thrice daily to prevent your hair from petrifying. Like all the numbered vitamins, it is highly combustible in oxygen, will prevent canine puberty, and is illegal in both original and New Mexico.
