Prior to tanning salons, the only way to achieve a beautiful copper glow was to boil pennies and bathe in the scalding reduction. Achieve a less painful sheen with today's Groupon: for $39, you get a 10-tan package for level-4 beds at Aztec Tan (a $145 value).

Aztec Tan bronzes sun-starved bodies with top-end tanning technology and individual assistance in a soothing environment. Customers safely bake their skin to a golden patina with 10 sessions in level-4 beds instead of repeatedly popping in and out of a common toaster. Lamps enhance hues with long-wave UVA beams less likely to cause sunburn and special bulbs trained on the face, shoulders, and sides to ensure an even tan. A contoured acrylic base relives pressure points that can cause unwanted white spots, and facial lamps can be turned up, down, or off to make sure countenances don't clash with vintage Knicks jerseys. The Aztec Tan staff regularly replaces all tanning bulbs to maintain comfortable bronzing and recommends spending no more than 12 minutes attaining a golden glow to ensure a safe experience.

The Groupon Guide to: Surfing the Internet

Containing everything from the great works of literature to spoilers for the upcoming presidential election, the Internet can be a valuable resource—if you know how to use it. Use these tips to ensure a productive trip to cyberspace and back:

  • Type the word surf into your computer's keyboard at anytime to access your Internet's web browser.
  • If your computer is less than 10 years old, your browser must be voice navigated. Shout such things as "photo of a helicopter" or "birth parents?" and let the Internet do the rest.
  • The Internet has more than 60 websites. Remember your favorites by "bookmarking" them (writing their names down on a bookmark you keep nailed to your computer).
  • Surf safely. Not only is this practical advice, it's also the name of the web's official mascot, Surf Safely, the surfing coyote who reminds children not to burn down the Internet.
  • Unplug and unwind. Using the Internet for more than four minutes a day will cause hair to grow uncontrollably from your mouth.
