The season pits these impromptu groups against each other in eight or more chuck fests, which lead directly into playoffs for the top-performing teams, which will get to replay grudge matches or continue to demonstrate their immunity to rubber. All matches take place on the squeaky courts of the Ocean Beach Recreational Center, beginning at 7 p.m. and usually concluding with a trip to a local bar to celebrate camaraderie over a brew.
