Though we're all disappointed that Starfleet has yet to invent the holodeck or Starfleet, there's still a way to fool your brain into believing it's at a sunny tropical resort. For $50, today's deal gets you $100 worth of services at Source Salon & Spa. Though it's been in the Ballard neighborhood for less than two years, the full-service salon has already earned some big fans, and Daily Candy nominated the salon and spa for its Sweetest Things award in 2008.

With the sole exception of massages, your Groupon is good for every service on Source's menu. Treat your kiss-starved face to a little love with a 75-minute facial of your choice ($95-$125), each of which include a personal face mapping, double cleaning, exfoliation, steam, extractions, massage, treatment masque, hydration, and daily defense. If the rest of your body feels left out, opt instead for a body-wrap treatment with a tropically warm, destressifying mineral salt scrub ($70) or a nourishing sea-mud therapy ($80). If holiday stress has chewed your nails ragged, you'll definitely want Source's signature mani-pedi ($85), which will reshape your nails, cut your cuticles, and polish them back into shining finger-gems. You'll also get an exfoliation, a hydrating massage, and a paraffin mask with the mani-pedi.

Your Groupon can also be used for Source's wide range of hair services, makeovers, waxings, and eyelash extensions, and can be applied to any of the salon's multi-service packages. Everyone gets only one Groupon, but you can buy extras as pick-me-ups for any stressed-out supervisors, freshly dumped friends, or sad-faced snowmen. Call ahead to schedule your appointment.

Reviews

Daily Candy nominated Source Salon & Spa for its Sweetest Things award in 2008. Seattle Citysearchers, Yelpers, and CityVoters give it a unanimous five stars:

  • The new salon has a relaxed and instantly calming atmosphere and looks great. – oscarandlucy
  • I love this Salon and you will too! Not only is this a "one stop shop" experience (which is so relaxing and convenient), but it's genuine…They really believe in you as the source of beauty – Verone
  • Source spa in Ballard rocks, I love the relaxing vibe and all the quiet corners where you can hang out between treatments. – tanananka

Groupon Says

Multiply Your Cleanliness

The facials at Source Salon and Spa include a double cleaning, making your face twice as clean as you thought possible. If you continue to clean your face multiple times, here's what you can expect:

  • Triple Cleaning: Your face eerily resembles that of young, handsome Richard Nixon.
  • Quadruple Cleaning: Right side up, your face looks like a pretty young woman, but when you are upside down, you look like an old lady.
  • Quintuple Cleaning: Your face emits an angelic glow that ruins movie-theater experiences for those around you.
  • Sextuple Cleaning: Your senses of smell and sight become ultra-sensitive but your sense of right and wrong becomes dull and twisted.
  • Septuple Cleaning: Your face becomes a living mirror that reflects the true nature of all who gaze upon you.
  • Octuple Cleaning: Yes, you can shoot lasers out of your eyes. No, you didn't somehow get smarter.
