    Vantage Point Farm

Steve and May Chadick both grew up surrounded by American Saddlebred horses, making their rounds as competitors in the southwest circuit before becoming trainers as adults. The pair channels more than 50 years of equine expertise into Vantage Point Farm. They and their highly trained staff devote themselves to priming green riders and steeds for recreational trots around arenas as well as struts in front of show judges. Riding instructor Amy Wagoner Cain, a pupil of nationally renowned instructor Dorothy Dukes Ford, helps lead lessons for equestrians aged 5 or older. Instructors help novice riders and progress from private sessions to group instruction, and more seasoned students canter atop tall steeds.

At day camps held during winter and summer breaks, kids enjoy daily rides and tackle responsibilities in the barn including grooming and tacking. Overnight camps for advanced riders culminate in an end-of-week horse show.

About Vantage Point Farm

May Chadick grew up surrounded by American Saddle Bred horses, making her rounds as a competitor in the southwest circuit before becoming a trainer as an adult. She channels all of that equine expertise into Vantage Point Farm. At this working horse farm, May touts the emotional, physical, and even spiritual benefits of horseback riding, giving families and individuals the chance to learn the ancient art of riding atop their gentle mounts. Other benefits of riding include the development of eye-hand coordination, physical strength, multi-tasking ability, and focus. She also understands the value of the connection between horse and rider, which is why her lessons feature horses selected for their ability to make even beginners feel at ease. Many even come from Saddle Bred Rescue, an organization dedicated to finding lasting homes for retired or forgotten show horses.

Although lessons drive much of Vantage Point's business, the fun doesn't end there at the #15 place to take kids in the Houston Area. At day camps held during winter and summer breaks, kids enjoy daily rides and tackle responsibilities in the barn including grooming and tacking. Overnight camps for advanced riders culminate in an end-of-week horse show. The farm is a great place to develop friendships with kids and adults in a safe, family-oriented environment. The farm also boards horses in spacious stalls, and offers training services for future show horses.
