Chemical peels can improve the skins appearance. A chemical solution is applied to the skin, which makes it blister and eventually peel off. The new skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Chemical peels can be done on the face, neck, hands or other body areas. Peels can be used to : (1) Reduce fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth (2) Treat wrinkles caused by sun damage and aging (3) Improve the appearance of mild scars (4) Treat certain types of acne (5) Reduce age spots, freckles, and dark patches (such as melasma which can be caused by pregnancy or taking birth control pills (6) Improve the overall look and feel of skin. Large amounts of hair can be taken out at once and finished fast. (2) Easy clean up. The sugar paste is water soluble, meaning you can clean off any residue left on the skin with plain water, unlike regular wax. (3) Sugar paste can be applied over missed hairs. The paste is very gentle and can be put right over an area that was just sugared but missed some hairs, without fear of much irritation. (4) Hair Length can be even shorter than waxing 1/16th of an inch compared with 1/4 inch for waxing.
