Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring?
PVArtspace provides acrylic paints, basic color glazes for firing, and many of the necessary tools needed for hand building. We have PLAY CLAY which is a just for FUN moist clay body with Great plasticity! Super White talc earthenware pottery, and Red Stoneware with Grog. We also have 1000+/- Molds
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I have always loved playing with clay and painting ceramics. When I had an opportunity to take over my downstairs apartment and create an artspace I jumped at it. I have collected between 500-1000 molds of all shapes and sized and partnered with a local slip caster to bring unique pieces to paint.
What do you love most about your job?
I love miniatures and brought home over 100 tiny molds for slipcasting. I have molds for Christmas Ornaments, Miniatures, Garden, Porcelain Flowers....I have over 20 Christmas Village house molds and LOVE seeing the faces of my students when they pour and release their first mold. Come join the fun!
