Though Simply Grille embraces modernity with digital menu displays, the Middle Eastern restaurant still does food the old-fashioned way, serving up handcrafted plates of traditional Persian-American appetizers, salads, and kebab entrees. Cooks expertly grill marinated meats, such as boneless lamb and chicken, before skewering the morsels and placing them on top a plush bed of rice. For heartier meals, they can pair a kebab entree with a side of zereshk polo—a basmati-rice dish made with barberries, currants, and saffron. They can also assemble the family platter, which satisfies up to four diners with an array of meat kebabs and grilled tomatoes.
