Place all terms, limitations, and restrictions regarding usage of the groupon on the groupon. Knocking out 1/2 the menu and all the special dishes of the day at time of redemption was disappointing. Food is ok, but its just ok and not in accord with pricing. Spumanti was freezer burned, and the cheese cake slice was unnecessarily skimpy.

I had to argue with them to accept the Groupon; said they no longer participated even tho the Groupon had not expired. Food's okay tho. Ask for a non-singing table if it's opera night and you're not a fan. We got stuck listening and not conversing.

The gratuity based on the value of the meal was included in the check. Not a criticism-I liked the idea-just a tip. Also, don't be surprised at the special (two entrees and wine for $29.95 Mon-Thurs) that is offered even if it looks close to the Groupon cost; the special menu has limited choice. Groupon was a great value!

Quite small and run down interior but the food was very good.

Food was acceptable, but the policies on the groupon were not followed and I was charged for an item that was not explained or on the menu and was told that "it was just 4 dollars extra." The food was good enough to return, but not great. However, the primary reason I will not return and the reason I would tell others not to do so is due to deceptive business practices such as the $4 extra charge for garlic bread and not allowing seafood entrees (despite that not being a condition on the voucher).

Very small dining area , in same area as bar and TV, over-crowded with piano, speakers, tables too close together, not a place for a fine dining experience. Food was good, service ok, but they automatically added the tip on the full price of the meals, and there were only two of us.

They added an 18% gratuity to our bill-not expecting that. We definitely would have left a generous tip but thought this was a little much.

Groupon introduced us to Trattoria but when we went Fri night, Trattoria told us groupons accepted only Mon-Thurs (groupon said any day.). Anyway, we stayed and loved loved the place!! We went back Mon nite to use groupon. Our new favorite place!

From Our Editors

Owner Franco Abbruzzetti himself selects all the produce, meat, and fish used by the chefs at his Trattoria Da Franco. That's how invested he is in the quality of the meals shared under his roof. Open since 1985 and occupying a 300-year-old European-style rowhouse, the eatery offers up many traditional Italian dishes that are just as charming as the building they're served in. Steak and seafood entrees are prominent on the menu here, as are housemade pastas and pizzas. The saltimbocca alla romana showcases veal saut?ed in marsala wine and the homemade minestrone alla romana soup comes chock full of tender veggies. Waiters also pour wines from Italy, France, and North America and pastry chefs bake up decadent desserts and custom cakes for special occasions and any time someone has eaten their way through the entire menu.
