They don't have any flavor in their food. The meat was dry. We had to ask for a lot of extra sauces, which were kind of bland too. The prices are pretty good though, for Alaska.

What difference does it make how I spend my money (getting the buffet) when I use my Groupon? I would have spent more had I gotten the buffet. Oh well. Great Mexican food regardless!

I was disappointed in your tamales! In Mexico they are my favorite food, and yours did not resemble the "real taste" of Mexico at all. Your tamales were a huge lump of corn flour with a smidgen of pork that I couldn't taste. I couldn't finish them!

My husband and I each tried different Combo meals. Each was excellent. I would highly recommend Ernesto's Grill. Service was as excellent as the food. We met several Alaskan's and recommended your restaurant to them.

I was treated well by the waiter and the decor was pretty, but when a problem with the groupon was brought up, a confusion about the value, the owner and/or manager did not come out to deal with it. They kept sending out this poor man and I even stated that I would not come back if this was the NEW OWNERS policy. It seems that they don't care if they lose first time guests. I eat Mexican food at least once a week, I do have other alternatives for my dining enjoyment within 1/2 mile of your place. I hope you think carefully about this.

From Our Editors

Amid the cinnamon-laced aroma of deep-fried sopapillas and scent of beef simmering in spicy red sauce, the chefs at Ernesto's Grill bustle about the restaurant’s kitchen assembling traditional Mexican dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The team takes pride in creating the most authentic eats possible—from house-made pork tamales to tortas mexicana. They send platefuls of their culinary creations into the dining room laden with wholesome produce, such as green chilies and juicy tomatoes. Servers assemble orders of guacamole tableside, impressing diners with the dip’s freshness and proving to skeptics that it actually doesn’t come from the guacamole bush.
