From Our Editors
In 2008, all aspiring photographer Corey Johnston had was a point-and-shoot camera, a dream, and a relentless work ethic. Now less than four years later, Corey runs Pure Photos, a national photography business where he snaps shots of hundreds of families, weddings, and events each year with the help of his wife, Jennifer, a fellow photographer and Pure Photo’s creative executive. Corey catalogs the vital and vibrant moments in people's lives with his unwavering easy manner and keen aesthetic eye. His subjects vary from parents playing with kids in the park to engagement shoots and post-wedding trash-the-dress sessions, during which new brides roll in the mud, drape themselves over sidewalks, and mercilessly pluck off decorative buttons to the delight of zippers everywhere.
