With their stashes of ramen noodles and frequent drunk-eating, college kids aren't exactly known for their outstanding diets. Barley Bean is out to change that, giving UT students options that are healthful, yet still conscious of their budgeted lifestyles. Nothing on the menu costs more than $7. (In fact, during breakfast, you could get an Americano and an egg-and-turkey-bacon sandwich for even less than that.) A large portion of it showcases fresh smoothies, paninis, and salads, and yes, there's even craft beer for the student developing a discerning palate.
