In 2007, IKKiCON hosted its inaugural anime and Japanese pop-culture convention, expecting about 1,200 fans to attend. The number was more than double that. The annual three-day festival continues to attract otakus by the thousands with its wide array of around-the-clock attractions and offerings. Fans can peruse original artwork and fan-made material, enjoy live music, and meet voice actors, artists, and cosplayers, not to mention visit the fest’s 24-hour gaming and video rooms.
