About this Business
- Deli, Asian, Chinese, Frozen Yogurt, Dim Sum
Absolutely horrible, the only thing that was edible was the dim sum and you could tell that it was not made there, it was purchased prepackaged at a store and just reheated on site. The food that was made on site was old, soggy and rancid. I guess that is why it was so oversalted and over seasoned. It was completely inedible and we were thankful we did not get seriously ill.
It smelled like dog, you gave us next to no water, the whole place felt unclean, but the food was ok.
Dishes are very expensive for what little food you get - you get only half the size of what's pictured on the menu. When I asked the server about that, she told me that I should never assume that what's pictured is what I would get, I should have known to ask. I complained to the owner as well and his response was that they used to serve that much food but with rising costs, they have decreased the portion size and never updated the pictures, so they are for reference only. I told him he should really consider updating his pictures becuase it's very misleading. I spent $30 there for dinner and had to go home and eat more dinner. I could have gone to a nicer restaurant and spent the same amount of money to be full. The food, taste and cost, is nothing compared to the chinese restaurant next door. I will not go back ever. I guess there was a reason why we were the only patrons there (the whole time we were eating) on a Friday evening at 7:30.
Over-priced non-alcoholic drinks, food was cold. We had to keep asking for our drinks and we were the only customers.
The place is a dump. Didn't get our order correct and also noticed that 2 other tables had their order wrong. Also overcharged us but I didn't want to wast my time explaining my point. They only take cash so that tells me that they are cheating on the income they report.
It really makes Groupon look bad that they would let someone like this advertise on their site. Not impressed with Groupon and would never go back to Ivy's Deli.
Unique atmosphere, and pictured menu. Lots of variety.
apparently this restaurant was designed by a 12 year old girl who decided one day to play restaurant. this place is disorganized and has a menu that is very hard to make sense of. the food was good, but the portions were tiny. the coupon we had was worth $16, or four dim sum choices. we ordered 5 dim sum dishes and only received four. We also ordered two jasmine teas, and we only got one small pot of tea. After discounting the coupon, we were told the total was $6.70. when i asked for a check, we did not receive one- only told again what the total was. I handed the girl $7.00, and she asked if i had the 70 cents. I am still convinced the check was wrong, but have no way of verifying it. The portions were small, and no rice was offered with the dim sum. For $22.70, I was extremely displeased with this place. For this first time ever, I left a Dim Sum lunch hungry. Definitely felt like I was taken advantage of.
poor service but good food
