The folks at Rudino's were very friendly and efficient. I phoned in an order for a number of sandwiches. The sandwiches were ready on time, made properly (wheat bread with sauces on the side), toasted and warm, and tasted great! Both the young woman I spoke with on the phone and the young man that packaged my order when I got there to pick it up were very pleasant and helpful. Great sandwiches, properly prepared, and great service. Yes, I'd recommend Rudino's.

It is right around the corner from us but we had never been there. Saw the Groupon and decided to give it a try. It was kid friendly and the pizza was good! We will certainly return because the sandwiches we saw others eating looked great too! Never even realized they had an outdoor area where you could sit and enjoy the evening and let the kids throw bean bags! We will return.

We went to Rudinos on a Sunday around 6pm. We ordered an appetizer, salad and 2 pizzas. It took an hour to get our food and everything came out at the same time. The pizza was terrible with soggy crust. I've had frozen pizza that was better. Not one to give bad reviews or even very picky but this was bad service and food. Maybe their Grinders are better.

One of the best sandwiches I have eaten at a restaurant in a long time. Loaded with meat and the bread was very good. Not only was this a great sandwich but even the "small" was LARGE! Excellent value and taste. I will certainly return.

From Our Editors

The brother-sister team behind Rudino's Pizza and Grinders opened the eatery's first location in 1995 in Cary, North Carolina. They wanted to create a restaurant that incorporated an onsite bakery into its design, keeping the kitchen full of fresh, housemade dough for pizzas and sandwiches. It was a concept that proved successful, and now Rudino's has locations all across the country.

In these kitchens, cooks coat crusts with a sauce based on the duo's family recipe, and then layer on any number of ingredients—including fresh basil, jalapeños, and bacon. They also slide open-faced grinders into ovens after loading them with such sandwich fixings as italian sausage, salami, and fresh vegetables, which are never frozen, canned, or taken from a neighbor's crisper.
