More than a decade ago, Lisa Lapwing became a personal trainer to fulfill her passion of helping others improve their quality of life. During that time, however, she discovered the world of Oriental medicine and realized she could help people beyond fitness. She eventually enrolled in the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine and earned a master's of acupuncture and Oriental medicine. Today, Lisa draws from her knowledge of holistic services at her clinic, where she helps clients who suffer from a range of issues, such as sciatica, allergies, and stress.
Lisa works to help patients naturally stave off colds and fatigue with custom Chinese herbal pairings, which coax the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The practitioner also encourages optimal well-being via the ancient art of gua sha massage, which detoxifies the body by applying quick strokes against the skin, as well as acupuncture, a centuries-old treatment that relies on strategically placed needles designed to release excess energy and hot air clogging up the body. In addition to Oriental medicine, Lisa is also on hand to help clients reach a healthier weight through exercise and nutritional counseling.
