Excellent great environment Joyce is excellent trainer and teacher.

I got this voucher as a gift for my friend and I to try together and honestly it was a horrible experience. From the moment we walked in, no one introduced themselves so we didn't know who to show our groupon vouchers to and didn't know who was the actual teacher. When the teacher walked in she didn't introduce herself but instead shouted "who are you?" We didn't get an overview even though we said we were complete beginners. Once we got into the main studio, my friend had to quickly use the restroom and I was trying to wait for her while listening to see if there was any direction about what we would do first. While I stood at the side listening and waiting for my friend to come out one of the ladies, an older blonde lady, came up to me and rudely asked if I was lost. Once we joined in and the class began, I had to just follow suit with the other students because there wasn't any direction. We started stretches and warm ups which were very intense, and there weren't any variations given for us as newbies. Once the silks were brought down, again there was a lack of direction on what to do from the instructor so again, I just followed the other students, not really sure what we were doing. Once we stood by our silks with mats underneath us, she didn't give us any assistance or direction on how to do any moves so my friend and I stood silent and confused for the first several minutes. Finally the teacher came to show her the first move but didn't show me, she just said to watch what she was doing with her even and I tried to tell her I still didn't understand what I needed to do. Most of the class we stood with our silks, and only got brief direction that we kept having to ask for, before she quickly walked away. At the end of class, the same rude blonde lady wearing the studio shirt yelled at us for accidentally walking over the dance floor with shoes on, which we were unaware was a rule and there were no signs anywhere to express that. Overall a negative experience and not conducive environment to learn for new students. Also, I had to cancel one of the classes due to work and was asked highly inappropriate questions about what I do because of that.

Great class! Don’t be intimidated if you’ve never tried this before. Joyce does a great job of accommodating different skill levels in the class

LOVE this studio and Joyce is so wonderful! She encourages you to push yourself to learn, and makes the classes really fun and challenging.
