Good atmosphere, great food. Tucked away in the back of a strip mall in an industrial area. Original and authentic - not so great with speaking or understanding English which means it is a good place in my book! Just be patient and use simple words.

So far the best Ethiopian we have had in Northern Virginia. Ordered extra just so we could have leftovers!

About this Business
One step into Checheho feels like a step into another world. The walls are meticulously painted with murals of the Ethiopian countryside. Tables are not stocked with utensils—only hands tear, wrap, and deliver every morsel to the mouth. As for the food? The platters of stewed meats and vegetables paired with sour injera bread are flavorful without being fatty, a meal to be shared by the entire table. And while mouths dance from the spiced chickpea puree or beef tartare, Checheho goes one step further by bringing in live music and professional Ethiopian dancers to entertain the eyes and ears as well.
