It's food just like your granny used to make—if she always had access to a fish market's worth of quality seafood, that is. The cooks at Great Granns certainly do; at this largely carry-out restaurant, they use fresh catches and beloved soul-food recipes to turn out house favorites such as jumbo shrimp stuffed with lump crabcakes and the salmon topped with a tangy barbecue sauce.
Lobster tail, tilapia, and fried catfish nuggets round out the seafood offerings, but Great Granns' cooks have plenty more up their sleeves. Everything is made fresh in the kitchen, and they don't skimp on the sides, either; popular accompaniments include creamy mashed potatoes, collard greens, and mac and cheese with a nicely browned bake.
