Q&A with Judith Proffitt, Program And Membership Coordinator
When and how did you first develop a passion for your work?
My colleagues and I have had a love of historic and artistic venues since childhood. We love the research and discovery of connections between people, places and aesthetic ideas.
What special training do you or your staff have?
Advanced degrees in American art and history.
I’m a first-timer. How do you get me ready for the experience?
Tours of the museums are offered on the hour, so be sure to plan ahead using our website.
Is there anything else you want to add that we didn’t cover?
Guided tours of the former residences of Baltimore’s founding Carroll and Garrett families may result in some serious house envy! You’ll explore elaborately furnished and decorated interiors from the 19th and 20th centuries filled with masterworks of American, European and International fine and decorative art.
