the trip was very pleasant, around to the Brooklyn Bridge and back with sighting of the Statue of Liberty. They had free wine and beer and drinks which I did not expect, and cheese and crackers coming and lobster rolls for sale for $15 or two for 25. It was a little over 2 hours and delightful experience. I would definitely consider doing this again.my only difficulty was finding the parking lot. It was being blocked buy some trucks. The parking lot is next to the University of Phoenix and across from Starbucks. It is municipal parking and reasonable.

There was very little commentary about the sights or tall ships we passed.

We never went full sail which was disappointing; also, they allowed us to bring wine which was fantastic but they should have been clearer as to the type of snacks available; chips and candy bars do not go well with wine; thankfully we brought our own antipasti!

When I originally booked the cruise thru Group On I received an e-mail back stated I would be notified by e-mail before the cruise as to where we would meet the sailing craft in NYC. That never happened. I spoke with many customers who took the cruise who were VERY disappointed in the communication from Seacoast Sailing about this. We all searched the internet, looking thru our Spam e-mail & the Seacoast Web Site. It wasn't until about 36 hrs before the cruise that any info was on their web site about the "Tall Ship" cruises out of NYC>.Many of us called, but got no response to calls or e-mails. I don't know what caused this problem

From Our Editors

Originally built to sail around the world, the New Horizons motorsailer now spends its days providing Maine hospitality to its guests while gliding along the scenic Northeastern coast of the United States. After boarding the sailboat, groups can take in the sweeping views of the New York Harbor, the Hudson River, and past the Statue of Liberty, while sipping drinks and savoring treats such as the classic Maine lobster roll, which can be purchased on board. Seafarers may also embark on special voyages, such as Lobster Day Sail picnics. With its spacious design, semi-private upper deck, and modern sound system, the New Horizons can handle events that range from large family gatherings to old-fashioned ocean-drinking contests.
