The tour guide, Patti is great. She is upbeat and fun. The tour starts outside The Old Talbott Tavern and then we ventured inside to see the room where Jesse James stayed. We moved into a conference room and watched as the lights flickered on their own. From there we walked to the Old Jailer's Inn. It would have been nice to go inside, but we did not. We ended at the cemetery. The tour was nice, but in my opinion, more historical and didn't delve deep into many of the ghost stories. Certain ghosts are mentioned, but not their back story. In comparison, I've been on tours in Key West, FL and Savannah, GA so perhaps was expecting a little much, BUT for a small town like Bardstown, KY it was a very fun tour and we would do it again. Given that it wasn't very scary, I think my daughter (age 8) would enjoy it as she likes "spooky" things.

Loved the informative nature of the tour. Loved the tour guide she was awesome! Did NOT like the number of people on the tour. There had to be 30+ people. I'm sure its nice for the guides to have so much business but it makes the tour uncomfortable. Could be a lot more enjoyable with a small group.. say 10-12 people.

From Our Editors

Each month, experts in all aspects of the psychic and healing arts converge for a weekend of enlightenment and metaphysical fraternity at the Mystical Paranormal Fair. Like a one-stop shopping mall for the soul, the fair showcases the services of master readers and practitioners, features guest seminars from experts across the spiritual realms, and provides an outlet for the wares of local artisans. Within the many rooms of co-owner Chuck Starr's equine art gallery, guests can partake in psychic, tarot card, tea leaf, crystal, rune, and energy readings in 3-walled booths that ensure privacy and confidentiality. Each month, those rooms host a rotating cast of masters, plus mainstays such as the metaphysical books and gifts of Patti Starr's Ghost Hunter Shop, and, of course, Chuck's equine prints.
