My experience was beyond wonderful!! I had a young man assisting me at the South Hills Village store. He was exceedingly patient (brought out about 10+ pairs). He talked with me about the various insoles and let me try a couple of different ones to experience the difference. Will I go back? Most definitely. The Groupon allowed me to pick up a quality pair of shoes.

Prices are high, but the support given my feet is helpful. Staff was very attentive.

From Our Editors

The Walking Company focuses primarily on comfort when selecting footwear for its diverse collection, but that doesn't mean it skimps out on style. With over 215 stores nationwide, the shops carry on-trend shoes in a variety of widths from reputable brands including ABEO, Dansko, ECCO, Taos, and New Balance. Each shop also features a state-of-the-art digital foot analysis system, so patrons can easily find a pair that perfectly fits their feet. The large selection runs the gamut from work-appropriate clogs to casual sneakers, and includes footwear uniquely designed to relieve common ailments such as plantar fasciitis, bunions, and heel spurs. ABEO footwear, for example, comes with a customized footbed that is digitally matched to the wearer's foot, helping to ensure hours of comfortable wear.
