Would not go back due to the fact that scheduling was so difficult. Once they found out I had a groupon they made it impossible to schedule reasonably. Unscrupulous. I ended up giving the groupon to my daughter in law who has a more flexible schedule than me and even she was almost too frustrated to use it. Waste of money and time. I would never use this business, groupon or otherwise and will tell my friends the same. Very poor customer service. Esoteric.

I thought everyone there was extremely nice and professional. The atmosphere was very unique and enjoyable. I was disappointed that my mani and pedi chipped right away. As part of the Groupon I was supposed to receive a scrub and cream but they were out and said they would get it to me when it came in. Is there a way to still get this or get a refund for this portion of the Groupon?

This was the worst experience ever! Their Groupon promised a mani, pedi, glass of champagne and goodie bag. No champagne and no goodie bag. They did give $35 toward a mini mani, pedi in place of the goodie bag but there is no way I would ever, ever go back. I ripped up the $35 coupon. The person who did my manicure, I had them take it off immediately and just buff my nails because the job was horrible. My toes started peeling off the next day, on their own. Also, we were there for 2.5 hours. Not cool!

I had a 2:00apt,they didn't even start until after 3:30. Because of how long they were dalayed I only got my pedicure done, not my manicure. Included in the Groupon was a glass of Champagne and gift bag,we received neither! Also the music being.played was offensive!

Overall a horrible experience with lash extensions. The Groupon was misleading, it said lashes would be individually applied. The woman at this salon applied cluster lashes. While they looked okay at first, as my lashes began to grow they looked terrible, you could see the clusters and glue. Also, they were uncomfortable since glued to multiple lashes instead of individual and your lashes grow at different rates so they would pull. After 4.5 wks most were still on but painful and looked bad. I had to go to another salon (which I researched and was certified for Novalash which is a reputable line of lashes) to have them removed. It took her 40 min to get them off as some were even glued to my lash line not the actual lash. This was impairing the growth of my own lashes and the reason why some of the extensions were not shedding after so long. The woman at The Socialite Beauty Bar overall damaged my own lashes with her improper technique of applying these extensions. Thankfully I was able to find someone at another salon to help me and give me another opinion of lash extensions. I would never recommend The Socialite Beauty Bar to anyone.

Horrible service. Discriminatory and very rude. I would never return to this salon and would highly discourage anyone even thinking about going there.

From Our Editors

The Socialite Beauty Bar’s owner, Arian Simone, is a multitasker. In addition to being the founder of Fearless magazine and a public-relations expert, Arian also provides the nail technicians at the salon with her own Arian Simone Beauty Products for use during spa services. Made of natural ingredients, the brown-sugar scrub, peppermint cream, and mango body butter nourish skin roughened from cold weather and gloves knit from steel wool. The technicians also employ OPI polish and chip-resistant CND Shellac, and soak feet with FootsieBaths, which employ disposable liners to ensure hygiene.

A glass of complimentary wine, sparkling cider, or tea enhances each visit, and free WiFi enables guests to check email or the status of the futures market for dragon tears as they wait amid the salon’s lavender walls and gleaming wood floor.
