Dale Brady invented, tested, and sold farm equipment. He had 200 acres of land dedicated to his work, but in 1972, he decided it was time to try something new. So, after discussing their options, Dale and his three sons reached a verdict: they'd transform that 200-acre plot into a golf course.
Toad Valley Golf Course has been a family operation ever since. Today, under its third generation of owners, the 18-hole course stretches to 6,224 from its tips. Four sets of tees make the course beginner-friendly, and water comes into play multiple times during a round. Away from the links, The Toad also treats guests with a driving range, an 18-hole mini golf course, and a fully remodeled clubhouse, where the Brady girls still meet every morning for their 8 a.m. coffee break.
