It was not a great experience. They advertised more obstacles than previous years (they have a picture on Twitter stating this) and had under half from the 2013 run and only one obstacle that even included mud. Then they told us there were water stations set up throughout the course and they only had one for our group for a 4 mile run-we were one of the first groups, so I'm sure they at least fixed this. After a lot of people let them know about their disappointment, they sent an email explaining that the added distance was the reason for less obstacles, but still advertised it as a mud run. The whole thing was just poorly planned and executed. Don't get me wrong, it was for a good cause, but there are better runs with just as good of causes.

Camp Titan changed my wave time without contacting me in advance and I could not make the earlier time. I have never had this happen before with any mud run I have signed up for. I responded several times to the email I received from Camp Titan and did not ever hear back from the Organizer. I also emailed directly to the contact information available on the website and no one ever contacted me. I would not recommend this event to anyone. I would recommend against investing in this activity. Even if they were unwilling/unable to refund my entrance fee, they should have been professional enough to reply to my repeated requests for communication.

It was the worst obstacle course I've done so far. Last year they had all kinds of challenges which weren't present this year. There was no real designated or posted finish line. No food or beverages for sale except beer which I don't drink. I would like a refund although I know the money goes for a good cause and work hard for mine and paid for myself, my niece and 2 nephews all who are very disappointed in this years event.

Very no-nonsense mud run. All for charity, so really cool that way!! Just wish they would have had t-shirts, or ability to buy them

The course was not good at all. I did this last year and it was completely different and not very challenging this year and I was very disappointed in it. When you train for things like this you want your $'s worth. I was not impressed.

Awful, awful, awful. Very unsafe, very hot and no water. Not at all as described! We got lost because the course was not marked and there was no one around when we needed help.terrible experience all around.

It was terrible. Only 4 obstacles. Not what was promised. Would NEVER do it again. What a joke.

No t shorts or medals were given. Parking was an additional ten dollars. Short on staff and obstacles advertised were not at the event. It should have been called the hill run.

CampTITAN was my first mud run of any kind. Not as many obstacles as I was expecting, and a LOT less mud than I was hoping for. Hills were grueling. Overall, the run was somewhat satisfying. The instructor for the run indicated as much, saying that they didn't have enough volunteers to set up the course.

From Our Editors

For the race organizers at CampTITAN, a run just isn't a run without a few well-placed obstacles. During their annual 5K, they litter the course with roadblocks such as wooden walls, giant tractor tires, and slides. Runners aren't just confronted with climbable challenges; a rigorous smatterings of ponds and mud pits test agility and endurance over the course of the approximately 3-mile run. Although defeating such an action-filled course is reward enough on its own, organizers don't skimp on the celebration, either. Participant each receive a commemorative medal for tackling the course, a tangible reminder of the day that they looked mud in the face and whispered "not this time, you don't."
