If you have a teenage daughter or know anyone with one, you’re likely quite familiar with Alex and Ani, the Cranston, Rhode Island-based jewelry company that exploded onto the scene in 2004 with must-have charm bangles. For the uninitiated: this immensely popular brand has become de rigueur with young females of a certain age, and now operates stores across the country. These days, the all American-made jewelry dangles from all sorts of arms, ears, and necks, regardless of age. The Boston shop on Newbury Street sports three floors to browse everything from charms to the company’s own line of beauty products. Just beware; shoppers still have to navigate between crowds of teenage girls, but plenty of adults line up for the unique jewelry as well.
