From Our Editors
There are a few things noticeably absent from the kitchens at BurgerFi—microwaves, freezers, and heat lamps. That's because the brand aims to be "less burger joint, more five-star restaurant," using grass-fed Angus beef that's free of hormones and antibiotics. Each batch of their signature sauce takes more than a dozen fresh ingredients and 40 minutes to prepare, and the selection of gourmet toppings includes merlot-grilled onions, maple syrup, and blue cheese. Veggie burgers are an option as well, as are Kobe-style beef hot dogs.
It's not just the food that's conscientious—dining rooms are furnished with chairs and tables upcycled from plastic bottles, and each location supports local charities and community centers.
