Dolce Vita is indeed a taste of the good life for owner Franco Graceffa, who emigrated from Italy to the United States when he was just 22. Shortly after, he opened the comfortable restaurant on the famed Italian restaurant row that is Hanover Street, in Boston’s North End. The menu here features everything from toasted garlic bread, hearty chicken tortellini soup and fresh mozzarella with sliced tomatoes and basil to heartier dishes like clams and mussels served in a cherry tomato sauce. Try the famed Pollo Dolce Vita, a plate of sautéed chicken with mushrooms, tossed with a light white wine demi-glaze. Look for wooden two-top tables and some bar seating, with most of the restaurant open to the elements at one end, making for a perfectly seasonal meal, complete with cooling breezes.
