menu items are hit and miss. If you know what to order it can actually be very good. Drinks are very weak, and service is surprisingly slow for such a small restaurant.

We got a groupon for a meal at Sfizi in the North end. Everything was wonderful, especially the lobster fra Diablo. Could highly recommend.

The food was well prepared, well presented and tasty. The setting was a busy city corner, the views very urban and the streets crowed with tourists. A bit noisy. Service was very friendly and efficient. There are a large number of Italian restaurants in the area. My experience is this this one is not in the top of the range but the Groupon value was very good.

From Our Editors

The food at Sfizi Italian Bar and Kitchen is a culinary trip to Italy with classics like beef-tenderloin carpaccio, grilled octopus, and chicken under a brick. And to complement the menu of appetizers—what Italians call sfizi, or "snacks"—along with secondi and primi dishes, DePasquale Ventures offers an extensive cocktail and wine list stocked with bottles from the old country and throughout the world. The restaurant often broadcasts European soccer matches on its TVs, which can make you feel like you're really dining abroad, but when it's time to feel American again, you're in luck: the restaurant is steps away from the historic Paul Revere House. Bricco, Quattro, Trattoria il Panino, and Mare are Sfizi's sister restaurants, and are also all owned by DePasquale Ventures and located within the North End neighborhood.
