Group was huge, more than 50 people. Too hard to follow and listed. The guide was not very fun...

We did the tour backward and didn't get to see all the stop. First time in Boston and missed out on so much history.

This tour was amazing! Caitlin was our guide and was so knowledgeable and funny! I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

The historical information given throughout tour seemed a bit disorganized. There wasn't much context given and the sequence was confusing. There were also too many people for one group.

I've never complained about a Groupon before, but our tour guide Sunday morning was rude, had a comment about us being from New York and spent the first 30 minutes talking in the park. How were we going to see 11 of the16 freedom trail locations when almost an hour in he was still on stop two? So disappointing. Next time I'll pay up and do a bus tour.

Our tour guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and I learned so much. I would encourage everyone to take this tour. I don't remember her name but she had a great costume and accent to the period.

Nice guide but more stops would be better.

From Our Editors

Unless they’re drinking copious amounts of his namesake beer, tour goers along the Freedom Trail won’t likely catch a glimpse of famous revolutionary Sam Adams. But they will hear tales about his struggle for freedom from the British—the kind of struggle that made Boston a hotbed of revolutionary activity in the 1800s. Led by costume-clad tour guides, The Path to Independence tour takes visitors along the red brick path toward famed landmarks such as Boston Common, Old Granary Burying Ground, Old South Meeting House, and Old North Church. At each spot, they’ll learn about the site’s role in colonial Boston, from its founding years in the 1630s to the fight for American independence and the key players in the fight, including Paul Revere, Samuel Adams, and John Hancock.
