Used the Groupon for a massage. It was a good massage.
Shawna asked if I'd like to buy another at a "discounted rate" of $50...I did--I think I even included a $10 "tip" so I wouldn't forget.
The day of the massage came, and I was unable to break free from work--so I missed it.
Called Shawna, and told her my situation and asked if it was possible to reschedule. She said I could, but I would be charged due to her 24-hour cancellation policy.
I said I couldn't get off of work, and that's not something that happens "24 hours ahead of time", and I didn't want to pay an additional $25 dollars for a massage.
She said that was her policy, and I said, "You know. That's fine. Keep it. Work got in the way, I don't want to have a massage from this environment, so that's cool. Keep the money. Lesson learned."
And. That's. When. She. Exploded. On. Me.
I proceeded to get yelled at for "I could have had someone fill in your time slot and made money from it."
I told her, "You already got paid...For doing NO work...I didn't show, I don't want to reschedule now. Keep it."
Yet, I got lectured again about how I impacted her business.
"Shawna. Fine. You've got your money, you didn't have to do anything for it. I think you are the one coming out ahead here...You got paid. I'll relay my experience here."
So, that's what I'm doing.
If you don't have to worry about cancelling, she's your person.
If you follow EVERYthing she tells you to do, Shawna's great.
If you are looking for a massage therapist that can snap at the slightest deviation from plan....You've now found it.
She must be popular though, when I initially called, I had to wait 4-6 weeks to get in to see her.
Groupon is always a crapshoot. I've had great experiences, and then I've had this one.
