This coarse is a little challenging with some narrow holes and dog lays. You have to shoot over mangroves or shrubs in some spots. I do like that and enjoy the challenge. Greens were a little fast and well kept. The coarse in whole was in good shape.

Hadn't played there in several years but the course was in bad shape - there were big puddles of water everywhere and the fairways were a mess. They take no pride in keeping in good shape and allowing people to drive carts on a course that they shouldn't. We only played 3 holes and left - we won't be back. Ruth Ahearn

I was disappointed that when w went into get food there was nothing available from the grill just chips and drinks. We heard that last week you could play for less than we paid for the groupon.

Greens were in perfect condition but the rest of the golf course was terrible. Fairways, tee boxes, grass and weeds around the greens. If ball was out side the green you had to stab at it because of the weeds and grass. Looks like the went for the save the greens but let everything else go to pot

This golf course is in the worst shape of any course I've ever played, and I've played hundreds of courses The greens run about a 6 on the stimp meter, and there was a teeing ground that was just dirt There were ants everywhere The course has potential because the layout was beautiful

From Our Editors

Designed by Ted McAnlis to take advantage of the area’s natural wetlands, the fairways at The Preserve Golf Club are riddled with water hazards and marshy areas. Water comes directly into play on 9 of the course’s holes, and players end up traipsing across 11 bridges as they hit their way from beginning to end. Many stumble at the 3rd hole, whose aim-blocking sabal palms earn it a handicap of 1, or at the course’s signature 17th hole, which drowns balls left and right. The course’s greens are newly recarpeted with ultradwarf bermuda grass, and pines, oaks, and palms line the fairways, their branches grasping at stray balls like nature’s catchers' mitts.

Before tackling the aquatic mischief of the championship course, golfers can take aim at the island target greens of the aqua driving range, where 40 hitting stations let players gear up for the watery course. After facing down the fairways, players select from a deli-style menu at Ryder Cup Grille, which features live music from artists such as Larry Crane, longtime guitarist for John Mellencamp.
