Practicing students at New Image School of Cosmetology pamper salon guests eagerly with a variety of salon services, all performed under the supervising eyes of experienced supervisors. Newly minted scissors snip and shorten the bouffant manes of men ($6–$7) and women ($10–$12), which may be coupled with elaborate stylings ($22) in preparation for moonlit soirees or black-tie viewings of sitcom premières. The hydrating paraffin facial ($27) warmly embraces the front part of heads, softening and restoring faces for an upcoming makeup application ($18) or pie-eating contest. As guests sit comfortably in the multistationed client floor, nail technicians in training put their mandatory five weeks of instruction to use as professors observe the detailed cosseting of clients' hands and feet during manicures ($12) and pedicures ($20).
