Take the time to check out other exhibits, not just Mummies.

Lots of fun things for kids but a few exhibits are getting a bit tired looking. The special Mummy exhibit was very well done.

Plan to spend a lot of time there. We were there for 5 hours. There were so many things to do. The mummy exhibit is phenomenal!

Some may be put off by the Martin Luther King Park neighborhood that the Museum of Science is located in. Don't be. The grounds are well lit, and well maintained with plenty of parking. We felt safe and had a thoroughly delightful experience.

Location is easy to get to, even for a non-city driver. Parking was a breeze. The museum staff was friendly and very accommodating. Most of all, the Mummies of the World exhibit was well worth the price of admission and the nearly two hour drive.

It is very kid friendly, with a lot of hands-on stuff for them to do.

It is a great place to take kids. They have many exhibits that kids can play with and learn from. The kids have no clue they are learning. The staff is wonderful. If you have a question ask it. They can most likely answer it.

What does it feel like to be caught in a tornado? How big were mastodons? How do engineers test automobile designs? All of these questions and more are answered at the Buffalo Museum of Science, where families can explore paleontology, biology, astronomy, and archaeology?and that's before you factor in rotating exhibits on fields such as robotics or entomology.

The discoveries continue beyond the museum walls. Buffalo Museum of Science also operates the Tifft Nature Preserve, a 264-acre wetland preserve in South Buffalo, and sponsors on-location events to expose students of all ages to immersive science education.
